Description:
Uses specialized equipment that emits high-frequency sound waves to create internal images (sonograms or ultrasounds) of a patient's body for medical diagnosis and treatment.
Works closely with physicians to help assess and identify medical conditions.
Participates in patient care and ensures a high standard of imaging quality.
Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to ethical guidelines.
Demonstrates effective communication skills with patients and healthcare team members.
Ensures proper functioning of sonographic equipment and performs routine maintenance.
Continuously evaluates and improves techniques to ensure accurate diagnostic results.
Engages in ongoing professional development and training as required.
Adheres to safety protocols and standards established within the workplace.
Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
