Federal Cloud Services Engineer (Clearance Required – Secret) – On‑Site (AL, UT, PA, OK)
Join HPE Aruba Networking as a Federal Cloud Services Engineer. Your role will be primarily remote with a flexible hybrid schedule, requiring onsite presence at customer locations two to three times per month as needed.
What You’ll Do- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud services customers, handling incidents, problems, changes, performance, and capacity.
- Lead incident management, problem diagnosis, escalation, and case management.
- Offer engineering ownership of solution deployment to end‑of‑life, ensuring clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Architect and develop tailored cloud solutions across hybrid environments, advising on application best practices, infrastructure optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Manage health, capacity, and performance of cloud services; perform automation and configuration management using IaC, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Maintain knowledge of backup, recovery, virtualization, container, orchestration, SDN, and cloud‑management technologies.
- Document solutions, contribute to internal knowledge bases, and provide technical guidance to customers.
- Mentor junior engineers and support process improvement initiatives.
- US Citizen with Secret clearance.
- 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in IT systems, cloud services, and technical troubleshooting.
- Advanced expertise in at least two of the following core areas: backup and recovery solutions (Cohesity, Zerto, VMware DRS, Alletra MP), operating systems (Linux and Windows), containerization (Open Shift, Kubernetes, Docker), automation (Ansible, Chef, Puppet), virtualization (VMware vSAN, vSphere, ESXi, KVM), cloud management platforms (Morpheus), IT service management (Service Now), networking/SDN (Aruba NSX, Juniper QFX
10k, PCE). Familiarity with multiple additional technologies is a plus. - Strong communication, customer‑service orientation, and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work 9–5 M–F with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on‑call duties.
- Experience integrating technologies into secure environments per DoD standards.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Power Shell) and Dev Ops practices (CI/CD, Jenkins, Git).
- OS‑level security hardening and compliance experience.
- Security+: DD8750 or higher (CISSP, CASP, etc).
- AWS Certified Solution Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect, Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect, or VMware Certified Professional.
- OS‑level certifications are a plus.
- Monday–Friday 9 AM–5 PM.
- Flexible for evening/weekend work and on‑call duties as required.
