Overview
The Oklahoma City VA Health Care System is hiring for one Licensed Practical Nurse – Telehealth for the Lawton VA Clinic. This is a float position with regular travel within the catchment area. The employee must operate a government vehicle and possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
Responsibilities- Provide designated telehealth nursing care and support day-to-day operation of telehealth services at the assigned location and at remote sites of care.
- Perform specialized nursing duties and assist other staff as required.
- Utilize computer programs required for the position and document patient information accurately in the medical record.
- Assess patient needs, administer medications/treatments per policy, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Maintain aseptic technique, universal precautions, and isolation requirements.
- Prepare clinical environments and equipment for examinations and treatments; assist with diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Collaborate with supervisors and leadership; communicate changes and concerns promptly.
- Promote positive interactions with patients and families and support healthy lifestyles as appropriate.
Basic Requirements:
- United States Citizenship
- Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or NLNAC/NLN; licensure as LPN/LVN in the United States (or Territory/Commonwealth/DC).
- English language proficiency (spoken and written).
- Must be able to pass background/security investigations and pre-employment physical evaluation.
- Subject to urinalysis per VA policy and, if applicable, online onboarding requirements.
- Seasonal influenza vaccination is a condition of employment for VA Health Care Personnel, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons.

Preferred/Additional Information: This is a float position with regular travel in the catchment area; operation of a government vehicle and a valid driver’s license are required.
Work ScheduleMonday–Friday, 0630–1700
