American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Behavioral Health night-shift position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and 2 years of adult behavioral health experience.
Requirements
- Active OK or compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS certification required prior to start
- NIHSS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of adult behavioral health nursing experience required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Handle with Care Certification preferred
- No history of disciplinary action
- Must complete DHS fingerprinting as part of the hiring process
Responsibilities
- Work in the SW Adult Psych unit of a behavioral health hospital setting
- Provides care to adult patients with mental health conditions
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Required to work every other weekend
- On-call duties may arise but are not regularly scheduled
- Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and administer medications
- Provide therapeutic communication and crisis intervention for patients with mental health conditions
- Monitor patient well-being and maintain accurate clinical records
- Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain a safe, supportive environment
- Candidates within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced travel rate
- Former direct employees of the facility must wait 6 months before returning through an agency
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) during the assignment
