Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC – $8,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Walmart is expanding its workforce in local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. This role supports and oversees repair of Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

$23.00/hr – $45.00/hr

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification and 2 or 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls
• Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program (preferred)
• Mechanical license in city and/or state where job is located (preferred)

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.

• Individual compensation packages are based on skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications, and other job‑related factors.
• Eligible for bonus incentive as described in the Walmart signed‑on bonus package.
