Overview
Join to apply for the Part-Time School Crossing Guard role at Layton City
. Reports to a predetermined location to help children cross the roadway in the safest possible manner and instructs school children on safe crossing techniques.
- Promote and follow the City’s Mission Statement, values and expectations.
- Learn and comply with all regulations set by the Department of Transportation regarding school crossing zones.
- Be reliable, dependable and mentally alert.
- Use good judgement to determine when it is safe to cross the road.
- Interact and communicate well with the public, co-workers and particularly school children.
- Work and move about the crossing in all types of weather conditions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age or older.
