Senior Mechatronics Engineer Security Clearance

Position: Senior Mechatronics Engineer with Security Clearance
Description
* Research and select materials based on customer's strength or tooling requirements

* Create drawings from 3D models in accordance with ASME standards

* Reverse engineer parts and assemblies using standard machine shop inspection tools and equipment to fill in missing or incorrect data in drawings and loft

* Assist in vendor selection based on derived project or specification requirements

* Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes (ISO
9001, AS9100D, and NADCAP)

* Support continuous improvement

* Write detailed build, assembly, inspection, and production instructions to assist the production team

* Identify root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for discrepancies and deficiency

* Utilize the lean manufacturing approach to integrate automation and increase efficiency of manufacturing processes

* Assist in mentorship of junior engineers and technicians to transfer process knowledge and increase technical proficiencies

* Support business development efforts and provide technical expertise on bids, proposals and RFQs

* Prioritize and execute tasking in a timely fashion within a dynamic work environment

* Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training:
* Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required

Experience:

* 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area
* Experience with NX and/or Solid Works and the ability to model complex, lofted aerospace parts is preferred

* Experience with reading and interpreting government 2D drawings and GD&T

* Experience in automating tooling to manufacture, repair, and assemble aircraft parts and other products

* Experience designing and implementing advanced additive manufacturing solutions
* Experience with Lab View, NX and/or MATLAB to process and compile data for test reporting and research and development projects

* Experience with C++, Python and/or RUST programming languages for system integration and development of control systems

* Knowledge and experience with tooling design for composite manufacturing preferred

* Understanding and experience with various additive and reductive manufacturing processes Security:
* Must be a US citizen

* Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Physical Requirements:

* Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms

* Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk

* Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
