Logistics Management Specialist (Air Force Civilian Service)
Minuteman III (MMIII) Systems Division, Propulsion Branch – Hill Air Force Base, Layton, Utah.
Open 23 December 2025 – Close 11 January 2026.
Annual salary range: $88,621 – $137,000 (typical 2025 range; may increase in 2026).
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, manage, and coordinate cradle-to-grave life cycle cost, schedule, performance, and logistics support for assigned propulsion systems or subsystems.
- Integrate supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance functions into program activities.
- Ensure adequate logistics coverage in all planning and programming documents; develop/update logistics and acquisition/sustainment strategy documents.
- Establish milestones and monitor execution to meet schedules and identify deficiencies for adjustment.
- Provide critical support to the Propulsion Integrated Product Team and 1st Line Supervisor.
- Serve as logistics technical advisor on contracts; develop evaluation criteria and administer contracts in compliance with procedures.
- Lead Working Group functions to organize multiple entities into an integrated team.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels; demonstrate independence, assertiveness, self-reliance, and tenacity.
- Apply DoD Life Cycle Logistics methodology to sustain propulsion aspects of MMIII.
- Familiarity with nuclear enterprise, especially MMIII, is desired.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills required.
- Knowledge of logistics program management, acquisition policy, planning, programming and budgeting, contracting, and Air Force resource allocation procedures highly desired.
- Knowledge of applicable principles, policies, and laws related to duties of the position.
- Safety, security, and analysis skills to translate complex information.
- Ability to analyze, plan, adjust work operations of organizational segments.
- Strong Logistics Management background in DoD acquisition programs desired.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information; maintain appropriate security clearance.
- Meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements: achieve Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), Life Cycle Logistics “Foundational” Level certification within 36 months of appointment.
