Psych Tech – Graveyard Shift (CRU)
Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking front-line Psych Techs to join the Clinical Teams at the following programs:
- CRU: an adult residential mental health facility for men and women operating 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, located in Layton, Utah.
- RC:
Davis County Receiving Center, a 23-72 hour alternative to inpatient hospitalization or incarceration specializing in short-term crisis resolution.

Essential Job Functions- Regulate emotion, manage impulsivity, and assist clients in learning other skills that will increase their success in their home and community.
- Manage the milieu on the unit.
- Take crisis calls.
- Facilitate skills development groups.
- Assist professional staff in group activities.
- Assist clients in accomplishing treatment objectives as outlined by clinical staff.
- Record behaviors and activities.
- Ensure compliance with developed programs and individual treatment plans.
- Act as a liaison between clients, family, and professional staff.
- Provide monitoring of clients’ behaviors and consequences as needed.
- Provide supervision and structure for clients on site as well as off unit.
- Drive a 15‑passenger van and transport clients to meetings and approved off‑unit activities.
- Complete other duties as needed and assigned.
- High school graduation and one year of full‑time employment in a related clerical field.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products is required; typing 35‑40 wpm preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Psych Tech or in the social work industry is strongly preferred.
- Must pass a pre‑employment criminal background check and drug screening. No use of illegal drugs, alcohol abuse, or medical marijuana is allowed.
- Spanish‑language proficiency is a strong preference but not required; a stipend is available for successful Spanish‑language assessment upon hire.
Hourly rate: $19.25 per hour, adjusted by shift differential.
- Swing shift (Monday‑Friday 3:00 pm‑11:00 pm or 4:00 pm‑12:00 am): 2% shift differential.
- Graveyard and weekend (Monday‑Friday 11:00 pm‑7:00 am or 12:00 am‑8:00 am; all Saturday and Sunday shifts): 15% shift differential.
- On‑call per diem: $20 per diem for each scheduled on‑call shift.
Full‑time employees are expected to work 40 hours per week. Assigned schedule varies by position and is outlined in the job posting.
