. This position involves operating electro‑mechanical machinery such as sifters and blenders during swing hours.

Base pay range $17.00/hr – $18.00/hr

• Set up and operate electro‑mechanical machinery such as sifters and blenders of diverse volume capacities.
• Inspect materials for foreign objects that may adulterate the batch.
• Follow blending instructions located on the batch record.
• Follow work instructions to perform each process step per health/quality, efficiency and safety standards.
• Use scales and computers to collect and record information—weight, batch code, time of blend, need for intensifier bar, amount of barrels produced.
• Investigate if product yield is not met and report in writing a reasonable justification.
• Use hand tools to assemble/disassemble removable machine parts.
• Use cleaning tools and sanitation substances to prepare room and equipment per public health standards for food products.
• Keep cleaning tools and substances outside blending rooms and maintain them clean, pure, and in good order.

• Contribute to department team incentive goals based on productivity and accuracy.
• Support and participate in company, department, and safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions and basic written communication.
• Perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Basic computer skills to input data into the database.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but not complex instructions.
• Maintain a current food handler permit.
• English language proficiency, written and spoken.

• Regular standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and listening/communicating.
• Occasionally exert up to 99 lbs. of force, frequently up to 40 lbs., and constantly up to 20 lbs. to move objects.
• Vision abilities include near and far acuity, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
