Feb 01, 2026 - Nov 30, 2026. Six (6) full-time, seasonal, temporary Nursery/Greenhouse Workers needed in Layton, Utah.
Job SummaryThis seasonal position is for greenhouse workers who will assist with planting, production, packaging, watering, and loading/unloading of products in our greenhouse facility.
Responsibilities- Greenhouse planting and production
- Greenhouse packaging
- Greenhouse watering
- Loading and unloading of product off rack
- Perform repetitive movements, extensive walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling for long periods of time
- Work in extreme temperatures, hot, dry, dusty, cold, wet and snowy conditions according to weather
- A minimum of three (3) months experience in greenhouse/nursery production
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Wage: $17.84 per hour
- Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Drug testing will be performed after hire, randomly, upon accident, incident, or suspicion, and will be performed at the expense of the employer.
- Housing is available to non‑local workers only and is not offered to non‑working family members; female workers will share bedroom and bathroom facilities with other female workers; common areas may be shared with male workers.
- Free daily transportation provided using two passenger vans with a capacity of eight workers each (total occupancy 16).
- Workers may be asked to drive vehicles for company business if they possess a valid driver’s license and a doctor’s certificate (as required by 29 CFR 500.105); this task is voluntary and not mandatory.
- Tools, room, board, kitchen facilities and transportation are provided at no cost to workers.
- Workers must provide employment eligibility documentation (I9 verification) upon hire.
- Workers’ Compensation coverage or private insurance equal to Workers’ Compensation laws for comparable employment will be provided at no cost to the worker.
- Employment guaranteed for at least 75% of the total work period, ending on the specified expiration date.
- If the worker completes 50% of the contract period, the employer will reimburse transportation and daily subsistence costs up to $16.28/day (maximum $68/day with receipts).
- Offered wage equals or exceeds the highest prevailing wage issued by the DOL for the period the work is performed.
- This job is in connection with a future H‑2A labor certification application.
