Area Supervisor
Join Ross Stores, Inc., a leading off‑price retail chain with over 2,200 stores, as an Area Supervisor. The role supports store operations, supervises associates, and ensures a safe, high‑quality shopping experience.

- Open and close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly shopping environment.
- Enforce safety and security protocols, including security checks, EAS device operation, and emergency procedures.
- Manage front‑end activities: cash register operation, shortage control, customer service, and associate training.
- Oversee merchandise: receiving, processing, markdowns, stockroom organization, fitting‑room maintenance, and inventory control.
- Execute loss‑prevention duties:
Inspect packages, monitor PVM, safeguard cash and merchandise. - Administer back‑end tasks: cash pulls, payroll, scheduling, and other store‑manager–assigned duties.
- Safety and security – maintain clean, hazard‑free floors, manage EAS, and respond to alarms.
- Customer service – treat customers, associates, and leaders with respect; encourage positive interactions.
- Brand and appearance – represent Ross brand, adhere to dress code, and keep all areas clean.
- Merchandising – process receipt of merchandise, ensure mark‑downs, and maintain backstage stockroom standards.
- Loss prevention – stay vigilant, conduct package inspections, protect confidential information.
- Front‑end operations – control cash, train associates, maintain pace, and ensure equipment functions.
- Fitting‑room and compliance – manage tag audits, go‑backs, and ensure stocking accuracy.
- Excellent verbal communication and fluent English.
- Previous customer‑service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of point‑of‑sale equipment and basic retail calculations.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and use store equipment.

Ability to use all store equipment, stand, walk, bend, lift more than 25 lbs, and operate janitorial tools as required. Certain assignments may require additional lifting ability.
