Position Purpose: Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. They make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained. Technicians work in stores with Tool Rental Centers and in repair centers. In stores, technicians provide service to customers, including writing rental contracts and invoices, checking tool operation, and demonstrating proper use as needed.
They also handle day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. Off-site, technicians repair, test, and clean units before returning them to the store. They must have thorough knowledge of tools and manage tool inventory effectively.
