Job Description
Under the direction of the production supervisor and operator, the Machine Operator is responsible for filling in for the Crew Leader in their absence and providing support and execution to ensure operation of the production line.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Adhering to all safe work procedures and proactively identifying safety issues.
- Exhibiting strong individual responsibility towards the delivery of team metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Using sound decision‑making skills in the execution of general production duties based on company documented processes and procedures (SOPs, Standard Work, etc.) and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Supporting a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset by participating in continuous improvement initiatives through communication and team engagement.
- Communicating effectively, appropriately, and respectfully with each member of the organization, emphasizing trust, integrity and respect.
- Assisting in providing effective solutions to difficult problems by using logic and problem‑solving skills, developing critical thinking and root‑cause analysis.
- Performing all routine work on the assigned line in addition to Machine Operator tasks as assigned by supervisor, and filling in for Crew Leader when needed.
- Work environment includes, but is not limited to, allergens: dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, wheat, soy, and egg.
Approximate day shift start times are 2:50 AM–7:50 AM with shift lengths of 10–12 hours.
Approximate night shift start times are 2:50 PM–9:50 PM with shift lengths of 10–12 hours.
Schedules are posted two weeks in advance; flexibility and frequent weekend work are required.
Pay:
Starting rate of 27.42– 29.65 /hr. Night shift receives an additional 1.50 /hr differential.

- Minimum 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years solid and continuous work experience beyond an entry‑level role, such as in general production, construction, farm operations, food service or hospitality; experience in food manufacturing preferred.
- Demonstrated stability in employment with limited unexplainable gaps.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of cause‑and‑effect and ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve.
- Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment; experience leading people preferred.
- Quality‑mindful, conscientious, and self‑motivated.
- Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Physical requirements:
stand for entire 10–12‑hour shift; repetitive hand, finger, shoulder, and arm motion; lift up to 50 lbs.
