As an Accounting Technician within Accounts Payable at American National, you will use your background in AP/AR to make an impact on the financial success of our company. In this role, you will utilize SAP and Excel to process invoices, payment requests, and checks.
What Will You Do?
- Create transactions for payments, deposits, stops, or returns and analyze accounting entries for transactions.
- Create reports and complete regular reconciliations of general ledger or vendor accounts.
- Review vendor information for correct payment terms and/or payment methods.
- Review and correct accounting errors related to payments.
- Assist with projects that may arise in support of Payables and Receivables.
- Analyze data & prepare appropriate accounting transactions (journal entries, payments, deposits, etc.) in accordance with established procedures.
- Audit payment processing to ensure that all aspects of the payment process produced an accurate and supported payment.
- Perform basic ledger account reconciliations & electronic billing file reconciliations as well as assist in clearing reconciling items.
Required Qualifications
- Accounts Payable experience
- Knowledge of spreadsheets & ability to operate Microsoft Office programs
