Extended Care Aide

Location:
Bay Area Christian School.
Pay range: $12.00/hr – $12.00/hr (based on skills and experience).

- Assist with supervision of students in the extended care program.
- Ensure appropriate care of school property and proper use of equipment and facilities.
- Develop and maintain a positive, compassionate behavior management policy.
- Model Christian character and facilitate spiritual growth.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for extended care activities.
- Maintain close, professional communication with parents.
- Adhere to school policies for staff and faculty.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in childcare or educational setting with student supervision (preferred).
- Christian testimony and commitment to serve; agreement to Bay Area Church's Statement of Faith and Standard of Conduct.
- Logical reasoning, sound decisions, impartial communication, poise under pressure, and adaptive conflict resolution.
- Self‑managed task performance without direct supervision.
- Independent judgment and decision‑making.
- Adaptability under stress and emergencies.
- Listening and responding appropriately.
- Establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 frequently; circular or negligible force constant.
- Ability to move through cafeterias to monitor students.
- Ability to perform repetitive finger motions at computer.
- Visual acuity for detailed work.
- Auditory discrimination for communications.
- Verbal expression for instructions to staff, students, parents.
- Accountability for fiscal responsibility.
- Subject to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
