• Front Desk Medical Assistant supporting the Ob/Gyn League City Women's Center as part of the clinical team, delivering safe, effective, patient-centered care and supporting front desk duties and appointment scheduling.
• Assist with planning and preparation for patient visits to ensure appropriate schedules, test results, and clinic-specific requirements are available.
• Room patients, document chief complaint and reason for visit, record vital signs, medications, allergies, smoking history and other required information; inform patients of delays and progress.
• Perform and/or assist with hearing and vision testing, EKG, spirometry, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, equipment cleaning/reprocessing, and other requested procedures as competency is validated.
• Prepare and stock rooms and clinic supplies; clean rooms between patients; prepare for and assist with routine and specialty procedures.
• Schedule follow-up appointments or referrals and perform routine clerical duties (photocopying, scanning, faxing); handle telephone messaging and in-person screening with appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines; perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  Six months of experience or completion of an approved Medical Assistant Training Program.
• Certification/
  
  Skills:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association; use and care of standard clinic equipment.
