Computer Operator I – Data Center Operations

Location: League City, TX (On-site)

Schedule: Shift work, including weekends and holidays

We’re looking for a Computer Operator I to help monitor and manage our 24/7 Data Center operations. This is a junior-level role perfect for someone ready to build on foundational skills and grow toward intermediate proficiency in a dynamic environment.

• Monitor and manage two production computing environments.
• Perform daily operational tasks, including Production Control Scheduling.
• Execute Initial Program Loads (IPLs) and server reboots.
• Assist with system recovery during hardware or system failures.
• Document errors and follow escalation procedures.
• Support hardware servicing and collaborate with vendors.
• Contribute to team training and process improvements.

• Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years in computer operations or related field.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bonus Points: Computer-related certifications.

• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be on-site during abnormal situations (essential employee status).
• Comfortable with routine tasks and following established procedures.
