Job Description
  • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast, friendly service.
  • Assist Store Director with overall Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and resolve customer concerns.
  • Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques via phone, intercom, and direct interaction.
  • Answer incoming calls and resolve customer complaints promptly and appropriately.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service & Engagement
  • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast, friendly service.
  • Assist Store Director with overall Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and resolve customer concerns.
  • Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques via phone, intercom, and direct interaction.
  • Answer incoming calls and resolve customer complaints promptly and appropriately.
Store Operations & Sales
  • Support total store operations, including implementing company and division merchandising, operating, and sales initiatives.
  • Drive sales, achieve gross profit goals, and manage expenses.
  • Assist with planning daily operations, monitoring production processes, and ensuring profitability.
  • Communicate with Operations Specialists to execute sales promotions and division programs.
Leadership & Communication
  • Communicate company goals, objectives, policies, and procedures to department managers and employees.
  • Ensure compliance across all departments and set clear store expectations.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with department managers to review ads, sales plans, and promotions.
  • Act as alternate meeting leader in Store Director’s absence.
Compliance & Safety
  • Implement and enforce company safety and health initiatives.
  • Maintain integrity in food safety and sanitation practices across all departments.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HIPAA, COBC, Meat Grinding Logs, Texas Workplace Benefits, and other state/company requirements.
  • Maintain proper code dating for all products and ensure compliance with employment laws, scheduling policies, payroll guidelines, and record retention.
Personnel Management
  • Assist with staffing, recruiting, hiring, and training.
  • Evaluate employee performance and support decisions on promotions, terminations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Identify training needs for key employees and ensure completion.
  • Resolve employee relations issues with HR guidance and maintain positive morale.
  • Safeguard confidentiality of employee and company information.
Financial & Inventory Control
  • Oversee cash handling, accounting of sales, and safeguarding company assets.
  • Control shrink and manage inventory levels per division guidelines.
  • Develop operating budgets and control store expenses.
  • Prepare sales and inventory reports; conduct physical inventories every 4 weeks.
  • Understand and analyze reports including P&L, S&P, invoices, and other store metrics.
Store Conditions & Merchandising
  • Maintain store conditions, product quality, rotation, labeling standards, and code date compliance.
  • Conduct daily inspections and coach employees on improvements.
  • Ensure merchandise is correctly priced, displayed, and shelves are clean and organized.
  • Recommend equipment repairs or improvements to Store Director.
Community & Vendor Relations
  • Build positive community relations and maintain communication with vendors, manufacturers, and corporate personnel.
  • Monitor market conditions, trends, and competitor activities.
Technical & Administrative
  • Operate related equipment (pallet jack, hand truck, safety cutters, Sterilox machine).
  • Perform receiving duties: break down loads, verify orders, inspect quality, and rotate stock.
  • Maintain proper product temperatures and comply with labeling laws.
  • Use computer software and electronic ordering systems; basic knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email required.
General
  • Perform all duties safely, accurately, and with integrity.
