Location:
PEC Transmission Control Center, Leander, TX 78641. Hybrid work options available.
Base Pay: $84,880.00 Minimum Starting Base Pay* + KPI Bonuses + Competitive Benefits.
* Qualifications may warrant greater starting base pay within the full pay range. Individual base pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
This position is responsible for performing complex duties required in the implementation, operation and maintenance of the company's enterprise systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform Active Directory object management, maintain working AD best practices, assist in topology maintenance.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and assist with upgrades to the Enterprise Systems.
- Assist with deployment of server operating system into the environment. This includes DNS, SSH, DHCP, SNMP, SFTP, and IIS.
- Ensure the safety and integrity of file systems with backups and snapshots.
- Examine and solve issues that have been escalated within the team or users.
- Ensure the availability of computer resources by assisting with disaster prevention and recovery efforts caused by events like power outages, hardware failures, etc.
- Install, configure, and support enterprise-wide software applications.
- Monitor systems and address security usability issues.
- Maintain and deploy both physical and virtual systems in different network segments.
- Install, upgrade, and configure hardware as needed.
- Assist and maintain antivirus and endpoint security.
- Design and maintain documentation relevant to standardization of team practices and procedures.
- Administer patching and backup software, other enterprise software and perform patch management systems.
- Install, maintain, and monitor security measures.
- Maintain the security of confidential information.
- Stay abreast of advances in technology.
- Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Knowledge of using computers and computer systems, including hardware and software to set up functions, enter data or process information.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SFTP, routing, firewalls, e‑mail, distributed authentication, VPNs, telecommunications issues, and other network administration concerns, particularly in complex LAN and WAN environments.
- Knowledge of basic virtualization and deployment principles.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to solve system‑related problems by using diagnostic techniques and protocols.
- Skilled in time management.
- Skilled in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing and changing priorities.
- Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems.
- Ability to set priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to listen to and understand information verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Directly related experience may substitute for education.
- Four years of database, network administration, or system administration experience.
- The employee may be required to stand; reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel.
- The employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- The employee may be required to lift, carry, push, pull or move up to 25 pounds.
- The employee may be required to travel.
- Exempt employees receive a fixed bi‑weekly salary to compensate them for all hours worked during each pay period.
- This position may be required to work more than 40 hours per week.
