The SMIT program is a development‑focused role designed to prepare future store managers through a self‑paced, collaborative training over 16 weeks that includes virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Your growth will be supported by a District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager coach.
Core Skills- Communicate verbally and in writing to support and lead your team.
- Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
- Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
- Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
- Actively engage with your leader during key learning experiences to support your promotion path.
- Support your store as a management team member and lead consistently with CVS values and policies.
- Engage colleagues to support the company’s purpose of “helping people on their path to better health.”
- Be willing to accept promotion roles at any location within the designated market.
- Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager role at any location in the designated market.
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the market.
- Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
- High School diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Retail management experience, or experience as a CVS Supervisor.
- Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a four‑year college degree.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.88 per hour (base rate; actual offer depends on experience, education, geography and other factors).
