Overview

Retail Assistant Store Manager - $16.00 to $20.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $6.28 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit, and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.

This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. You will analyze store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met and commit to the company s asset protection program, promote our business, and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including cash drawer and merchandise handling, following procedures to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet First Cash standards and review loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development; communicate store mission and profit objectives clearly to employees.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge and act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods; standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others; ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old;
    High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week.
  • Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines; strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Cash handling experience; analytical skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent work ethic and business sense.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.
