This role is part of Walgreens Pharmacy's customer service team. The job may involve retail and pharmacy responsibilities.

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Greet customers and patients, offer assistance with products and services, and resolve customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Register sales on assigned cash registers and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups, companion items, and assist in locating products from the OTC aisle.
• Practical cash handling: collect cash, distribute change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Maintain clean counters, merchandised shelves, and inventory records; check in and price merchandise as directed.
• Assist pharmacists under direct supervision: use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, verify medicine, and check for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to company policies and the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist’s personal attention, including those to physicians.
• Process and correct manual claims for third‑party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist Pharmacy Department with inventory management, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcohol and tobacco).
• Construct and maintain displays of promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Assist with the separation of food items and product placement as per store policies.
• Use store systems and equipment as required.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster printing, and creative machine.
• Assume web‑pick‑up responsibilities (monitor Picture Care Plus orders, fill, pick, and deliver orders to customers).
• Assure exterior and interior maintenance by keeping the store clean, neat, and orderly.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Six months or more of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Strong computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
