Four1 Recruitment is recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead an existing children’s residential home in Leatherhead. The role pays £55,000 to £60,000, with relocation support available for candidates looking to move to the area.

You will take responsibility for the home’s care, compliance, safeguarding and team performance. You will report to the Director and Responsible Individual, with additional support from central HR, recruitment, finance, therapeutic and maintenance teams.

The role

As the Ofsted Registered Manager, you will lead the home in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

The home supports children and young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will ensure they receive safe, consistent and therapeutic care that supports positive outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

* Lead, supervise and develop the Deputy Manager and residential care team.

* Maintain Ofsted registration and ensure the home remains inspection-ready.

* Oversee care plans, risk assessments, placement matching and safeguarding.

* Manage staffing, recruitment, performance, budgets and resources.

* Work closely with the Responsible Individual, placing authorities, families and other professionals.

What we’re looking for

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or an equivalent qualification.

* Current or previous management experience within children’s residential care.

* At least two years’ recent experience managing a children’s residential or regulated care service.

* Experience supporting children with complex needs, including EBD.

* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and the Children’s Homes Quality Standards.

A relevant degree in social work, health or social care would be useful but is not essential.

You must be able to register with Ofsted. A driving licence is not essential, although occasional travel may be required.

Pay and support

* Salary of £55,000 to £60,000 per year.

* Relocation support available for candidates moving to the area.

* Permanent, 40-hour contract.

* Support from an established senior management and central services structure.

* An existing home with an established operational framework.
