We are working with a leading international Tier 1 main contractor to appoint an Assistant Design Manager to join their growing team in Leatherhead.

You will support the delivery and coordination of the design process across projects from pre‑construction through to completion.

• Assist in managing the design process across multiple project stages
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
• Attend and contribute to design meetings
• Monitor design programmes and key deliverables
• Identify design risks and buildability issues

This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within a Tier 1 environment.

• Experience as an Assistant Design Manager, Design Coordinator, Architectural Technologist, or similar
• Strong technical understanding and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ambitious and keen to progress into a Design Manager role

• Degree or equivalent in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or similar
• CIAT/RIBA/CIOB pathway desirable

• Clear and supported pathway to Design Manager level
• Work with a financially secure, well‑established Tier 1 contractor
