Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a fast‑growing organisation delivering innovative Solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage projects that support the UK's net‑zero transition. This hands‑on role combines site surveying, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance across a range of commercial and industrial environments.
 
The Senior Electrical Engineer will:
 
Survey electrical infrastructure at potential new sites and specify preparatory works.
Install and commission Solar PV, EV charge points, and BESS equipment.
Carry out maintenance, inspections, upgrades, and fault‑finding on existing installations.
Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance records, RAMS, and quality checks.
Ensure compliance with BS7671, codes of practice, and relevant British/European standards.
Contribute technical input to the ongoing development of combined Solar / EVCP / BESS technologies.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will have:
 
Proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical works, including inspection, testing, Solar PV, and EVCP installation.
Minimum 10 years' electrical experience working with three‑phase systems.
BS7671 (18th Edition) including Inspection & Testing.
Experience obtaining DNO connections (G99 and/or G100)
Experience installing Solar PV, EVCP, and networking/communications equipment (Ethernet, cellular, WiFi)
Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently.
Ability to manage external contractors, consultants, and third‑party stakeholders.
