Overview
Lead Instrument Designer required for long term contract role, to lead and manage a design team on greenfield projects, for a global oil & gas engineering contractor based in Surrey.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a design team on greenfield projects.
- Prepare and review design deliverables in compliance with project standards.
- Collaborate with other disciplines (Electrical, Piping) to provide instrumentation and telecom inputs.
- Support the Lead Engineer in design deliverables development of specifications.
- Ensure adherence to company and project standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Proficient in 3D drafting software packages.
- Experienced with Smart-Plant Instrumentation Database application.
- Hands-on experience in 3D modelling and extracting drawings from 3D models.
- Skilled in developing cable tray layouts and location layouts using Micro Station.
- Familiarity with material take-offs and bills of material preparation.
Start date:
ASAP
Contract duration: c. 8 months
Rate: £50p / h (Ltd Co), role expected to fall Outside of IR35
Location:
Surrey, 5 days a week office based.
