Senior Process Consultant

Overview

K  Consulting is seeking a Senior Process Consultant with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) liquefaction experience to join our international consulting organisation. The successful candidate will be a senior technical leader, providing high‑value advisory and engineering input across the gas pretreatment and liquefaction and gas infrastructure project lifecycle and supporting early phase technical activities aligned with gas monetisation, security of supply and energy transition objectives.

Reporting to the K  Consulting International leadership team, the Senior Process Consultant will deliver technically robust, commercially informed consulting assignments for clients across LNG, natural gas, and other energy transition liquefied gases for energy and infrastructure sectors. Assignments typically range from strategy and feasibility through concept development, Pre‑FEED and FEED, as well as technical due diligence and lender’s technical advisor engagements.

• Act as a Senior Consultant on LNG, and other cryogenic liquefied gas‑related studies and projects, including:
  • Liquefaction facilities
  • Import and regasification terminals
  • Peak‑shaving and small‑scale LNG facilities
  • Cryogenic storage and handling systems
  • Marine, road and rail loading / unloading systems
  • Gas treatment, liquefaction support systems and boil‑off gas management
• Lead or provide senior technical oversight for:
  • Feasibility, concept and Pre‑FEED studies
  • Technical and economic evaluations
  • Technology assessment and selection
  • Integration of facilities with upstream, midstream and downstream infrastructure
  • Due diligence and owners engineering reviews
• Develop and review high‑quality technical deliverables including reports, presentations, process models and decision‑support materials
• Apply engineering judgement to identify key risks, opportunities, cost drivers and performance sensitivities across LNG projects

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, engaging effectively at a technical level
• Translate complex LNG and gas processing topics into clear, decision‑ready business insights
• Support client discussions on LNG project development strategies, investment readiness, execution approaches and market positioning

• Support LNG and gas infrastructure growth strategy through:
  • Proposal and tender preparation
  • Technical inputs to bids and client presentations
  • Participation in client meetings, workshops and technical reviews
• Contribute to thought leadership, market positioning and internal capability development within LNG, gas and related energy transition services

• Mentor and guide less‑experienced engineers and consultants
• Contribute to the development of internal methodologies, tools and best practices
• Collaborate across K ’s wider global organisation, integrating multi‑discipline expertise as required
• Prepare and deliver conference papers and client presentations at international industry events
• Support the continued growth of the LNG and gas consulting business

The candidate should be able to demonstrate depth of experience and knowledge in several of the following service areas:

• LNG and gas market knowledge and commercial drivers
• LNG facility operations and design considerations
• Process design understanding and modelling
• Feasibility and configuration studies for LNG and gas infrastructure projects
• Understanding of process safety and applicable regulations for LNG facilities
• Knowledge of major LNG licensors, vendors and technology providers
• LNG project execution strategies
• Technical due diligence and lender’s engineer support

• Degree (BEng / MEng or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline
• A relevant number of years of experience in engineering consultancy, project development or operating company roles
• Demonstrable experience in LNG and/or gas processing projects, including:
  • LNG liquefaction and/or regasification facilities
  • Cryogenic storage, loading and unloading systems
  • Gas treatment systems (dehydration, acid gas removal, mercury removal, NGL recovery as applicable)
