An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Flow Assurance Engineer to join a leading international engineering consultancy delivering concept, pre‑FEED and FEED projects across the global energy sector.
Working within a specialist Process Engineering team, you will undertake flow assurance studies for upstream developments while supporting projects spanning oil & gas, hydrogen, ammonia, decarbonisation and other energy transition technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out flow assurance studies for upstream projects.
- Develop and run simulation models using OLGA, PIPESIM and other industry‑standard software.
- Perform steady state and transient hydraulic analyses.
- Assess flow assurance risks including hydrates, wax, slugging, erosion and corrosion.
- Produce technical calculations and high‑quality engineering reports.
- Support development of flow assurance philosophies and engineering procedures.
- Present technical findings to project teams and clients.
- Degree qualified in Chemical or Process Engineering (or similar).
- Minimum 10 years' flow assurance experience.
- Extensive hands‑on experience with OLGA transient simulation software.
- Experience using PIPESIM, PIPENET and pipeline simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of thermo‑hydraulics and pipeline sizing.
- Experience of shutdown, startup, blowdown and transient analyses.
- Knowledge of surge pressure and over pressure protection studies.
- Good understanding of flow assurance challenges and mitigation techniques.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
