Flow Assurance Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Flow Assurance Engineer to join a leading international engineering consultancy delivering concept, pre‑FEED and FEED projects across the global energy sector.

Working within a specialist Process Engineering team, you will undertake flow assurance studies for upstream developments while supporting projects spanning oil & gas, hydrogen, ammonia, decarbonisation and other energy transition technologies.

• Carry out flow assurance studies for upstream projects.
• Develop and run simulation models using OLGA, PIPESIM and other industry‑standard software.
• Perform steady state and transient hydraulic analyses.
• Assess flow assurance risks including hydrates, wax, slugging, erosion and corrosion.
• Produce technical calculations and high‑quality engineering reports.
• Support development of flow assurance philosophies and engineering procedures.
• Present technical findings to project teams and clients.

• Degree qualified in Chemical or Process Engineering (or similar).
• Minimum 10 years' flow assurance experience.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with OLGA transient simulation software.
• Experience using PIPESIM, PIPENET and pipeline simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of thermo‑hydraulics and pipeline sizing.
• Experience of shutdown, startup, blowdown and transient analyses.
• Knowledge of surge pressure and over pressure protection studies.
• Good understanding of flow assurance challenges and mitigation techniques.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
