COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTANT – PE BACKED ENERGY

Leatherhead – 2/3 days in office

Do you want a role that combines sharp financial control with real commercial impact from day one?

We’re hiring for a Commercial Accountant to join a PE-backed, rapidly growing energy business based in Leatherhead. This is a newly created role, giving you the chance to partner with operational teams, shape processes, and provide insight that drives decision making as the business scales.

• Newly qualified ACA/ ACCA ( 1–2 years PQE in industry)
• Strong technical grounding with excellent Excel skills
• Commercially minded with a genuine interest in business performance
• Proactive problem solver who enjoys working with both finance and non-finance teams

• Deliver detailed P&L, revenue and cost analysis across projects and contracts
• Partner with non-finance teams to influence pricing, margins, and commercial outcomes
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modelling
• Provide management information and board-level commentary
• Assist with process improvements and the implementation of best practice
• Ad hoc analysis to support senior leadership in key business decisions

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Early career in industry (1–2 years PQE)
• Excellent communicator with strong analytical and commercial skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
