£26,277 p/annum (DOE)

We are looking for a Procurement Assistant to join an expanding Finance & Accounts team. It’s a busy and varied role which supports the Procurement, Finance and Operational teams.
You’ll play a key role in stock reporting and controls, supplier reconciliations, rebates, pricing and catalogue management, while helping to resolve queries and improve processes across the business.
Key responsibilities- Produce and analyse monthly stock and procurement reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Manage supplier reconciliations, pricing data, rebate accruals and claims.
- Maintain accurate supplier, product and catalogue data, including price file uploads and new part setup.
- Support stock controls, vehicle stock requests, audits, transfers and leaver processes.
- Investigate purchase order and supplier queries, identifying root causes and supporting resolution.
- Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, operational teams and suppliers.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, data quality and cost control.
- Maintain clear procedures and records to support compliance and audit requirements.
- Highly organised, analytical and detail-focused, with the ability to manage large datasets and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, filtering and reconciliations.
- Experience in procurement, finance, stock control or a similar environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong numeracy, problem-solving and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and resolving issues.
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
- CIPS or accountancy study, or a willingness to work towards a relevant qualification, would also be advantageous.
