Responsibilities
- Undertake psychotherapeutic consultations and provide individual psychodynamic psychotherapy.
- Liaise with professionals, carers and relatives as required about referrals of patients to the service.
- Maintain up-to‑date risk assessments on patients directly involved in your care.
- Involve patients in their personal care plans taking their individual needs and preferences into account.
- Conduct both group analytic and mentalization based treatments following appropriate training and with ongoing supervision.
- Advise other professionals and trainees engaged in mental health work about the role and suitability of psychoanalytically informed interventions.
You will be expected to have experience working with people who have severe and enduring mental health presentations and in offering assessment as well as individual and group psychotherapy. Experience in delivering MBT is desirable but for those candidates with no training in this modality training is available as part of career development.
