Job Description & How to Apply Below

A Role With Purpose

As a Senior Care Professional, you’ll be a reassuring presence in the field — offering guidance, encouragement, and leadership to Care Professionals while continuing to deliver hands‑on care yourself. You’ll work closely with the Registered Care Manager, helping ensure care remains safe, personal, and consistently high‑quality.

This is a role where your voice matters, your experience is trusted, and your care sets the tone for others.

Around half of your time will be spent delivering care directly to clients, keeping you connected to what truly matters, while the rest focuses on mentoring, quality checks, and supporting smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Working Pattern & Pay

We believe structure and fairness help people thrive.

Working pattern (alternating weeks):

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday
  • Week 2: Monday, Thursday to Sunday

Shift options:

  • 7:00am – 2:30pm
  • 3:00pm – 10:30pm

On‑call:

  • Alternate weeks, 10:30pm – 7:00am

£150 paid per four‑week period for on‑call duties

£28,028 per annum, with additional on‑call allowance

How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll help ensure care is delivered with warmth, professionalism, and consistency by:

  • Supporting and coaching Care Professionals in the field
  • Carrying out spot checks, observations, and competency reviews
  • Helping maintain high standards of care and best practice
  • Supporting client assessments and reviews when needed
  • Acting as a calm, senior presence during on‑call periods
  • Being a role model for respectful, dignified, person‑centred care

You’ll also represent the service in the community with pride, professionalism, and compassion — helping build trust with clients, families, and colleagues alike.

You’ll Be Fully Supported

You won’t be expected to step into this role alone. You’ll complete a comprehensive 12‑week induction and onboarding programme, designed to help you feel confident, capable, and supported.

That includes:

  • A warm introduction to the organisation’s values and culture
  • Guidance on safeguarding, equality, and person‑centred care
  • Training in observation, competency checks, and professional feedback
  • Practical training in safe moving & handling
  • Refreshers in medication support, pressure care, and basic life support
  • Health & safety, hygiene, and food preparation
What We’re Looking For
  • A caring, confident professional with experience in home care
  • Someone who leads with empathy, integrity, and calm assurance
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own car
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Ideally living within reasonable distance of the local area
  • Company pension
  • Referral programme
  • A role where your leadership genuinely improves lives.
