Kitchen Porter​/Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
• Stock and restock supplies in the kitchen as needed
• Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

• Previous experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is preferred
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
