Purpose of Job

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Junior Account Manager to join our Mid-Market Sales team. This role is ideal for individuals with strong new ‑ business or new ‑ logo sales experience from fast ‑ paced, customer ‑ centric industries such as estate agency, automotive sales or recruitment.

You will focus on identifying and winning new business across mid ‑ market organisations (up to 2,000 seats), while developing trusted relationships that support long ‑ term growth. No prior IT or technology industry experience is required – full training and industry onboarding will be provided.

Based within commuting distance of our Head Office in Leatherhead, the successful candidate will spearhead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities. Essential attributes include industry-specific sales experience, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a relentless drive for success. The role demands adaptability and a rapid learning curve, reflecting the dynamic nature of our industry.

Skills Required
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation – Engaging new prospects, generating leads through outbound calling, email outreach, networking events and social platforms.
  • Client Engagement – Building rapport quickly, understanding client needs and delivering a positive customer experience throughout the sales cycle.
  • Solution Positioning – Learning how to articulate the value of our IT products and services, supported closely by technical specialists.
  • Sales Negotiation and Closing – Managing objections, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and closing new ‑ business opportunities.
  • Pipeline Management – Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline, forecasting confidently and using CRM tools effectively.
  • Market Curiosity – Staying informed about industry basics, client challenges and market trends, with full support and training provided.
  • Team Collaboration – Working closely with marketing, pre ‑ sales and other internal teams to deliver excellent outcomes for clients.
  • Background in sales, customer acquisition or business development (e.g. estate agency, car sales, recruitment).
  • Proven success in new ‑ business generation and meeting sales targets.
  • Strong communication skills – confident, clear and professional.
  • Self ‑ motivation and resilience, especially in an outbound sales environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast ‑ paced role with a willingness to learn new products and technologies.
  • Experience using CRM systems or sales tools (training available).
  • Leatherhead based – 3–4 days per week as part of Bytes’ hybrid policy, alongside client meetings.
