Driver, Delivery, Transportation

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver with a full, clean UK drivers licence for our client based in the West London area. When not working in the warehouse, the sucessful Delivery Driver candidate shall assist with the deliveries of high quality goods manufactured by our multi-national client.

This role provides opportunity for development and progression within the company on a permenant basis

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES of Delivery Driver:

• Picking and packing
• Loading and offloading vehicles and trailers
• Day-to-day administration
• Participation in the stock take.
• Filling in of Check Sheets, Delivery Notes
• Weighing and labelling of goods
• Pallet straping and shrink wrapping
• When not working in the warehouse, the Warehouse Operative/Driver candidate shall be conducting deliveries of the company's high quality goods, driving a 3.5 ton Vehicle

Essential Driver candidate requirements:

• Must hold a full, clean UK drivers licence
• Provide a friendly and helpful response to customer enquires to their total satisfaction in order to contribute to the distribution team s goal of improving service levels to be the best in the industry
• Identify and work with third party distribution providers, identify potential problems to ensure the smooth flow of orders and customer satisfaction
• Ensure that complaints, as they affect your direct responsibility, are promptly dealt with, in a professional manner
• Maintain company property to the required standard
• Represent the company in a business-like manner and maintain a standard of dress and appearance in keeping with the job and position within the company
• As an employee, you have a legal duty to take reasonable care of yourself and others and to co-operate with management on all aspects of health and safety, as set out in the Employee Safety Handbook
• Need previous experience of the Health and Safety standards of the warehouse
• Be prepared to assist with out-of-hours services to customers when the need arises. as well as any ad hoc duties as required by the Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager or a Director
• A Forklift / Counter Balance licence would be an advantage
• Excellent grasp and understanding of Maths and English written and verbal is essential

HOURS:

07:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday,
You must be prepared to work longer hours to meet company targets,

This is inclusive of london living wage , the standard hour rate is £13 with agency once the succesful candidate goes perm there rate will go to £13.93 .

You must be prepared to work longer hours to meet company targets,Over time is paid at time and a half of £19.50 ph with agency and then will be paid £20.90 after 12 week trial period .

This is a temporary ongoing position with the possiblity of securing a permanent for the sucessful Delivery Driver candidate.
