What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of delivering projects that make a real difference to the UK’s strategic road network. You will:

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with project teams and key stakeholders—both internal and external—ensuring shared understanding of objectives, reviewing performance, and working together to find solutions.
  • Champion compliance and clarity
    , supporting adherence to the DBFO contract, defining roles and responsibilities, managing risks and issues promptly, and maintaining accurate records including change management.
  • Shape and implement project plans
    , ensuring activities are well-organised, properly resourced, and aligned to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Support projects through their full lifecycle
    , from feasibility and design to construction, contributing to investment proposals that drive value for our clients.
  • Develop robust cost profiles
    , identifying key risks and resource requirements to keep projects on track.
  • Proactively manage risks and constraints
    , escalating where necessary and implementing practical solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Work closely with Framework Contractors and Designers
    , setting clear expectations for health and safety, time, and cost performance, and taking action where needed to ensure success.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives
    , supporting our commitment to net zero and biodiversity net gain.
  • Collaborate with construction and supervision teams
    , ensuring permits, certificates, and site reporting are managed accurately and efficiently.
