Case Processing Specialist – Core Civic

$30.52 per hour

The Case Processing Specialist provides case processing and administrative support to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) mission under the direction of ICE field office personnel.

Essential Functions
  • Provides case processing and administrative support to ICE’s mission, processing immigration cases, managing records, and preparing documents.
  • Enters case data into ICE systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agency protocols and data integrity requirements.
  • Retrieves, compiles, and organizes county, state, and federal court records, conviction documents, and supporting case materials from multiple databases.
  • Assists ICE legal representatives in obtaining criminal history checks and other supporting documentation as needed prior to court.
  • Prepares, reviews, and manages case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation.
  • Provides logistical and administrative support to alleviate the administrative burdens from law enforcement officers, keeping A‑files updated and docket officers notified.
  • Assists with docket coordination with the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) and US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Coordinates with ICE Officers to facilitate hearing schedules, adjudications, and ensures all documentation has been filed and/or submitted.
  • Reviews appropriate paperwork for filing an Application for Stay of Deportation/Removal, Order of Supervision (OSUP), Own Recognizance (OR), bond applications, or other documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinates with ICE officers to facilitate interviews, hearings, removals, and case updates.
  • Maintains up‑to‑date case status records, court scheduling details, and case tracking logs, generating status reports and monitoring dashboards.
  • Tracks compliance with release conditions and reports violations to the designated ICE liaison.
  • Organizes and prepares removal documents and coordinates with ICE personnel for scheduling removal and staging flights.
  • Verifies detainees have necessary legal paperwork, medications, property, and travel documents before transfer or removal.
  • Performs routine duties in accordance with established policies to maintain order and provide security, care, and supervision of detainees in holding areas and during transport.
  • Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social or Behavioral Science, or a related field is required.
  • One year of experience in criminal justice, corrections, or a related field is required. Additional experience in a criminal justice field or case management services may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‑for‑year basis.
  • Experience and/or training in reviewing law enforcement documentation such as detention files, custodial records, immigration case files, or previous experience conducting interviews for immigration or detention is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail are required.
  • Bilingual skills, with the ability to communicate verbally and/or in writing, are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
