Join a contractor supporting the installation of a new manufacturing line within an active production facility in Lawrence, KS. This role provides hands‑on safety leadership for demolition, equipment installation, and multi‑trade construction activities in an occupied manufacturing environment.
The Site Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while working directly with craft personnel, subcontractors, supervision, and client representatives to identify hazards, maintain compliance, and support safe project execution.
This project presents unique challenges including active facility operations, hot work activities, multiple trades working concurrently, and communication with client personnel operating nearby.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Site Safety Manager on large or complex construction projects
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience conducting safety audits, orientations, and toolbox talks
- Strong field presence and leadership abilities
- Experience working around multiple contractors and active construction operations
- Ability to manage safety documentation and project compliance requirements

- Review safe work practices and project requirements with crews
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific requirements
- Coordinate safety activities with project management and field supervision
- Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Maintain required safety documentation and reporting
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
