School Psychologist for the 2026/27 School Year at USD 207 Fort Leavenworth School District.
Job DescriptionSchool Psychologist (2026/2027 School Year): identify and assess learning, development, and adjustment characteristics and needs of students, and factors that may affect learning. Coordinate and facilitate evaluations, evaluation meetings, and pre-staffing, develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and identify/recommend research-based interventions. Consult with parents, teachers, other school personnel, and community agencies to support student learning and adjustment. Apply ethics and standards of professional practice and comply with laws and policies governing practice.
Reports to Building Principal and Special Education Administration.

FLSA Status:
Exempt
- Master’s Degree or Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology
- Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement
- Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the District Office (after an employment offer is made)
- Assessment And Interpretation:
Assist in the early identification of students’ learning, social-emotional, and behavioral needs; select and administer assessments appropriate to the focus of concern and according to NASP professional standards; consider student characteristics (ethnic, cultural, socio-economic); identify factors in the learning environment affecting learning; integrate data and develop hypotheses for instructional programming and eligibility/placement. - Consultation And Communication:
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel; consult with teachers and staff about ways to facilitate learning and adjustment; coordinate between the school system and relevant agencies. - Program Planning And Development:
Assist in planning, development, and evaluation of IEPs; identify research-based strategies; analyze and disseminate data; coordinate pre-staffing and re-evaluations.
Typical physical demands to perform job duties with reasonable accommodations as needed: sit/stand for extended periods, input data, see and read computer/print material, hear and speak clearly, lift up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height, bend, stoop, sit on floor, climb stairs, walk, reach overhead.
Terms of EmploymentAt-will employment. A 193-day contract under the Negotiated Agreement.
EvaluationPerformance evaluations in accordance with the Negotiated Agreement.
