Houseperson at IHG Hotels & Resorts

The Houseperson assists room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens, delivers linens and supplies to room attendants, and maintains cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas. This role responds to guests’ requests for housekeeping supplies in a timely and efficient manner. Houseperson will clean designated public areas such as restrooms, fixtures, vending areas, storage areas, and other public areas for assigned floors.

They will monitor and control supplies and amenities, minimizing waste within all areas of housekeeping, and may collect newspaper and other items for recycling.

• Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens.
• Deliver linens and supplies to room attendants.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas.
• Respond to guest requests for housekeeping supplies.
• Clean designated public areas (restrooms, fixtures, vending areas, storage areas).
• Monitor and control supplies, amenities, and minimize waste.
• Collect newspaper and other items for recycling.

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to carry/lift up to 75 pounds and push or pull approximately 300 pounds.
• Frequent standing, moving, handling objects and equipment, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Availability for varying shifts across a 7‑day period, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

Salary range: $575.00 – $675.00 (Kansas City, MO). We offer a competitive salary and benefits, including a room discount and extensive training. The posted range may be modified in the future; pay is determined by factors such as education, qualifications, experience, location, performance, shift, and business needs.
