Position Overivew:
The Staff Accountant role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, payroll processing, lease accounting, financial reporting and assisting with month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity. The Staff Accountant will formally report to the Senior Accounting Manager as part of the corporate accounting team.

• Prepare journal entries across all components of the financial statements with a robust understanding of debits, credits, and relationship between income statement and balance sheet.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end process ensuring all financial transactions are complete, accurate, and recorded in the correct period.
• Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with applicable payroll regulations and maintaining the confidentiality of employee information.
• Perform lease accounting activities, including maintaining lease records, preparing journal entries, reconciling lease-related accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Foundational understanding of accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
• Execution of financial reporting deliverables for both internal and external stakeholders ensuring all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
• Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures; assist in implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
