Registered Nurse

We are currently seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our team of dedicated professionals who share one goal: delivering exceptional patient care.

As a Perioperative RN, you’ll play a vital role across all areas of our Ambulatory Surgery Center, including Preoperative, Operating Room, Postoperative, and the Laser Procedure Room. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment, values precision, and is passionate about ensuring every patient receives safe, thorough, and compassionate care.

• Admit, assess, and prepare ambulatory patients for surgery in accordance with center policies
• Perform pain assessments, interventions, management, and patient/family education
• Provide care specific to ophthalmic surgical patients
• Monitor basic cardiac rhythms and recognize rhythm changes
• Assist with or initiate emergency measures for adverse patient events (e.g., cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, shock)
• Support physicians and ancillary staff in delivering efficient, quality surgical care
• Maintain flexibility, organization, and composure under pressure while supporting overall patient flow

Hours: Monday–Thursday, typically 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No weekends, holidays, or on-call. ASC staff rotate through our Northland surgery center every Wednesday.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Missouri and Kansas
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in perioperative or surgical care
