Maintenance Technician (47221)

As a residential Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for ongoing facility maintenance and repairs to keep the company’s multifamily property operating and appearing at its best.
Key Responsibilities- Perform light carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and HVAC work.
- Address work orders promptly to prevent major problems.
- Maintain the general cleanliness of the property, including resident amenities such as the pool and clubhouse.
- Engage with residents in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintain a safety‑first approach in all tasks, ensuring a safe working environment for the team and a safe living environment for residents.
- Work full‑time Monday through Friday; occasional on‑call hours and weekends may be required.
- Use personal tools and, when necessary, a company‑owned or personal vehicle to move around the property.
- At least three years of experience in property maintenance (residential or hospitality).
- Proficiency in light carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience, preferably in property management or hospitality.
- Prior experience in general building maintenance, painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have own tools.
- Valid driver’s license required for company‑owned or personal vehicle use.
- Expected work hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, plus scheduled on‑call hours and occasional weekends. - Travel:
Occasionally may need to drive a company‑owned or personal vehicle for business. - Work environment and physical demands:
- Able to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity, adequate vision, and stamina to use tools and equipment safely.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to perform functions in various weather conditions.
- FLSA Status:
Nonexempt.
- Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance options.
- Auto‑enrollment in 401(k) plan after 60 days of employment.
- 40 vacation hours in the first year and paid sick leave per state requirements.
- Holiday pay for six holidays each year for eligible employees.
