Maintenance Controller – Airshare Careers
Join Airshare in delivering reliable aviation services. The Maintenance Controller acts as the central point of contact for all maintenance issue coordination, ensuring company aircraft are maintained on- and off-site in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Responsibilities- Facilitate interdepartmental communication regarding AOG aircraft and deferred maintenance issues to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Review MX tracking software, Due List, MEL/NEF/CDL deferred items to guarantee accurate aircraft MX release in the scheduling program and that critical aircraft are reported on.
- Work with Shop supervisor, Scheduling, and QA to maintain up-to-date and accurate maintenance tracking software.
- Collaborate harmoniously with the DOM, Pilots, Flight Operations, Maintenance and Scheduling personnel.
- Provide technical guidance to flight crews on handling aircraft discrepancies safely and efficiently.
- Schedule and coordinate away-from-base AOG maintenance with vendors, ensuring personnel meet FAR requirements and are qualified for the aircraft, including Drug/Alcohol testing.
- Ensure Maintenance documentation is complete and onboard aircraft prior to departure.
- Guarantee parts and required tooling are shipped timely to support AOG aircraft.
The qualified candidate will have:
- A&P Certification and 5 years of mechanic and/or supervisory experience with turbine-powered aircraft.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills, time management, multi-tasking ability, and attention to detail.
- Some travel required; willingness and ability to spend periods at Wichita base and other company locations during initial training.
- Schedule flexibility – MX Control provides 24/7 AOG support via an on-call rotation for weekends and nights, with weekend bonus included.
- Previous Maintenance Control, Phenom, or Challenger 300/350, 560XL experience is highly valued but not required.
