SUMMARY:

Mortenson is currently seeking a Surveyor who will perform surveying, mapping of construction measurements, and advise team members during all stages of construction projects through direct surveys and layout support.

• Set up and operate Trimble GPS equipment, including base station, SCS 900 software, GCS 900, and laser level
• Care for, clean, and use surveying tools and equipment
• Perform basic surveying computations and plan reading
• Perform survey note taking
• Survey existing conditions of proposed work sites
• Guide new construction work through layout
• Verify locations of structures
• Build and maintain effective relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• Perform all other duties as assigned

• Minimum one year of related construction experience
• CTS level 1 or equivalent preferred
• Current driver’s license
• Ability to operate equipment including but not limited to Base Station, SCS 900, GCS 900, and laser level
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work independently
• Active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• Capability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance for heavier loads
