Associates Degreeor Equivalent or pass the Paraprofessional test

Required:

Work with special education students preferred.

General Description of Position Duties:

Student supervision,andassistingwith IEP goals,assisting with instruction,data recording, other duties assigned by the principal.

Assistive Technology, flexibility, patience, positive attitude, team player, confidential, respectful to school community(staff, students, parents).

Physical and Mental Efforts:

• This position requiresa high levelof physical and mental endurance.
• Sitting in an office/classroom environment, performing tasks on a computer or other technical devices.
• Frequent standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
• Frequent walking,movingaboutonfoottoaccomplishtasks,particularlyforlongdistancesormovingfrom one part of the building to another.
• Constantly talking, expressing, or exchanging ideastocolleagues and/or students accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Ability to hear and listen to detailed information through oral communication.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to50pounds.

• Ability to handle and balance multiple demands at the same time.
