Responsible for supporting plant operations through completion of engineering and maintenance projects. Design and develop processes for manufacturing needs. Provide engineering support to welding, fabrication, painting, and assembly-line operations.

• Responsible for PLC programing and controls support for operations
• Assure that all applicable quality standards are met in the introduction of trailer products
• Responsible for the continual improvement of process and product quality
• Manage the engineering design process, installation, MPAP, and long-term technical support of the manufacturing process while meeting quality, capability, and cost targets
• Automate existing processes and lead CAPEX projects
• Ensure that the tools and fixtures required to support our processes are available and are in good working condition
• Introduce new parts and processes to support developing products
• Coordinate the installation of new production processes in the facility required to produce the trailer products
• Create mechanical designs for project work throughout the facility
• Assist with improving methods and reducing costs

• Bachelor degree in engineering or a related field
• 5+ years experience performing engineering work ideally for a metalworks operation
• Experience with controls and PLCs to include programming ability
• Knowledgeable of robotic systems as used with manufacturing
• Familiarity with metal fabrication and MIG welding processes
• Experience working with various tooling and fixtures
• Experience with CAD and CAM technology
• Working knowledge of procurement processes
• Proven success as to solving problems and making decisions
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Effective interpersonal skills that fosters teamwork and aids intraorganizational coordination and cooperation
