Low Voltage Project Manager
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline and discharge all security systems project related staff.
- Effectively manage human resources issues per Company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to meet customer and Company goals and objectives.
- Manage workload distribution and monitor customer delivery and job installation progress.
- Plan for, manage, monitor and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
- Review all job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including invoicing, customer collections and financial reporting.
- Manage quality and safety on customer work.
- Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
- Act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
- Create, develop and implement account process improvements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Physical and Mental Requirements
:- Self-motivated, professional, and able to lead others to implement project process improvements.
- Promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
- Problem solving, critical thinking, and effective reading, writing and oral presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
- Ability to travel within branch and/or regional territory as needed.
- Ability to learn Company and customer project management systems.
- Ability to secure and maintain a Company sponsored American Express Card.
- Proficiency with trade tools listed (punch tool with 110/66 block blade, 6/8 position crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohm meter, 4-pair continuity tester, 5-gang punch tool).
- Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements
:- High School diploma or GED;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Experience in customer interface (liaison between customer and the Company).
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical/construction field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
- Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed tasks and manage to completion and customer turnover.
