Penn Barry, a subsidiary of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Production Supervisor for its Lebanon, IN facility. This role is responsible for supervising production personnel and overseeing workflow, equipment, and output in various assembly processes. The Production Supervisor ensures consistent production volume, product quality, safety compliance, and cost control while maintaining a strong presence on the production floor.
- Supervise plant hourly production staff and daily operations.
- Train production personnel to perform assignments safely and efficiently.
- Monitor production output, quality, and appearance of products.
- Adjust schedules and staffing to meet production demands and ensure on‑time delivery.
- Maintain equipment and coordinate necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment (5S).
- Control labor costs and monitor scrap levels.
- Conduct performance reviews and support disciplinary actions in partnership with HR.
- Facilitate team operations and promote a positive work culture.
- Participate in High Performance Team (HPT) initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures and standards.
- Associate degree or minimum 2 years of college coursework.
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP or production scheduling systems.
This role is based in a manufacturing plant environment. The employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and occasional outdoor conditions. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating machinery. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
